She also practices Taiji sword, Ba Gua, spear, double sword and others. As one of the Beijing Wushu Team members, she
joined many national competitions and aside from individual competition, she was also one of the team members who won the group championship for Beijing Wushu Team. In 1996 and 1998, she also joined International Taiji
competitions in the US and Asia, where she won four gold medals and a silver one. Jing started learning Wushu from her father. When she was practicing in the Beijing Wushu team,
her coaches Zhang Gui Feng, Ge Chun Yan and Yin Yu Zhu trained her to become a professional Wushu athlete. As Jing was 14, she learned Chen-style Taiji from Master Feng Zhi Qian, Master Zhu Tian Cai, Master Gao Fu and
Professor Kan Gui Xiang. One year later, she also studied Yang-style with Master Ye Shu Xun, Liou Gao Ming, Yang Zhen Duo, Professor Li De Yin and Men Hui Feng. Her Wu-style Taiji was taught by Master Li Bing Zi. Jing
studied traditional Taiji from these Masters. Her Professors and her coaches perfectioned her skill for the competitions. She learned Ba Gua from Master Sun Zhi Jun, who is the representative for the 4th generation of
traditional Ba Gua. His great skill and humbleness enabled Li Jing to gain deep understanding and profound knowledge in this ancient Chinese tradition. |
